Basic Electronics & Laptop Fundamentals
This module provides the foundation for understanding how electricity flows through a motherboard and the role of individual components.
- Electronics Basics: Study of current (AC/DC), voltage, watt, ampere, and Ohm's Law.
- Component Identification: Recognizing and testing resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors (MOSFETs), fuses, coils/inductors, and crystals.
- Testing Equipment: Hands-on training with a digital multimeter, DC power supply, battery boosters, and oscilloscopes (CRO).
Hardware Assembly & Component Replacement (Card Level)
This practical module focuses on physically taking a laptop apart and replacing faulty parts that do not require soldering on the board.
- Disassembly & Assembly: Step-by-step procedures for safely opening different laptop brands and identifying internal components.
- Module Swapping: Changing screens (LCD/LED), keyboards, hard drives (HDD/SSD), RAM, Wi-Fi cards, and webcams.
- Peripheral Systems: Diagnosing and replacing touchpads, speakers, hinges, and optical drives.
- Battery & Adapters: Testing output voltage, checking pinouts, and determining if a battery can be revived.
Software & Troubleshooting
Software training covers operating system maintenance and common logic errors that appear to be hardware faults.
- OS Installation: Installing various Windows versions, driver management (backup/restore), and manual driver installation.
- Security & Recovery: Password removal tools (BIOS and Windows levels), virus removal, and basic data recovery from corrupted hard drives.
- Diagnostic Tools: Using debug cards (POST codes) to identify boot failures.
